Why Would You Buy a Trike? - Utah Trikes
I was wondering when you guys were going to start selling this model. I just want a Ti-Fly X or the Azub Fat lol
Whats the cost
Star wars ones.. I'm just saying might be something
We'll have to look into that!
I have a Steintrikes Wild One 20/20 that I have installed a 6 speed Pinion transmission and a 14 speed Rohloff Speedhub, I find that these two paired together on a recumbent trike to be a very good combination. For me, shifting is very easy, I have enough gears, especially for hills, which is what I wanted, speed is not an issue for me. For use with the 14 speed Rohloff, the 6 speed Pinion is best.
Are these legal to ride on the road anywhere in North America?
Does it have direct or indirect steering? Can that be a option? I like direct steering. How big is this trike compared to a catrike trail? This looks like indirect steering. Price?
So, I'm hearing it everywhere now. It might be too late to stop it but...Comfortablity or comftorbility isn't a word. It's just comfort.
Great video! Do you guys do a free shipping event?
Yo Lewis.
Mine is in that batch I think. Maybe tomorrow.
just got my confirmation that my 559 just shipped..I can't wait!!!! :)
We're so excited for you to get your new trike!!
Never seen those cones pretty smert
Cool.
I have 2 flags on my trike. A solid orange flag and Ohio.
We love that!!
Is there a Smart trainer for a trike or or can I convert this "dumb" trainer to a smart trainer?
Not a goose - that's a Loon!
Thanks for your review you are the best trike channel for me. I would like to know the setup for your 3D camera on the trike.
We installed the Ice Seat mounted Side Bar and then attached an extra handlebar stem of a bike, then we just had the other end of the handlebar stem hold the camera mounted stick that came with our 360 camera.
Test riding a new trike indoors. 😂❤😂
always trying to fit in a ride whenever and wherever we can!
Is it possibly to add the pinion gears to an expedition cat trike?
yes! the pinion is a front gear hub and it can go on any trike!
Ciao spedite in Italia?
Yes! we do!
👍😂👍 DIY Trike 👍😂👍 Cat on Bord 😂
I heard there was a cinch cord. You did not show how to adjust it at the bottom.
The music makes it hard to hear the instructions....
There is a market for a flag that has built - in LED lights, including in the flag itself. The power pack should be designed to clip directly to the frame. If there is no pocket on the back of the seat or saddlebag. My wife gets very nervous when I ride early in the morning, unless I have my LED kit fully charged.
wait til you see this Delta
My bike helmet helps keep me cool. We have a wonderful Rail Trail near us and have to ride on the road to access it and always wear a helmet in that circumstance. But when on the trail the helmet used to come off and was replace by just a sun visor. A local bike shop runs a trike ride and requires a helmet so I put my visor on the outside of the helmet and to my surprise the air rushed through the helmet and was much cooler than just the visor. So now I wear my helmet all of the time which is not only a cooler option but a safer one too.
I have since 2008 a flagg with 3 flashing 1 watt LEDs at the topp. The electronic I integrated in the back light.
This is another of my throwaway accounts in case UA-cam bans me for life again I can create as many throwaway accounts as I need so keep on banning me as many times as you need to it won't stop me from being a gigantic pain in your glory hole
Want to see comparison with Steintrikes 24x24
And the opening video is of trikes without flags.😩😫🤔
These points are good, as far as it goes, but don’t address the entire visibility spectrum, which, to me, should include high-vis clothing, and lights. Just sticking to flags, I like to add a couple of points. Most significant, as far as I am concerned is the fact that flags are behind the rider. There are many crossing/turning situations at intersections where drivers in vehicles right beside you, won’t see you because the flag isn’t in their field of vision and they are looking right over you because they are mainly/only concerned with traffic coming from one direction. In my experience flags are often hard to see when the recumbent comes right at you, especially in a high contrast, sun light/shade situation. I use wide, red ribbons on my flag pole , they are much more noticeable, especially because they stream out in the slightest breeze.
Bonito
I have 2 lighted poles ( one flashes the other is solid ) and mounted flags on to them. I had to design an Aluminum bracket to mount to the back of the seat but you can see me from all over the place plus lite up wheels. The better to see you conspict is Where's it at any more. Also the Garmin rear radar.
How about a flag with a flashing light on the end?
What happened to your "Most Capable Quad Yet!" That was teased two months ago?
It's still in the works! We hoping to announce it in July and have it available to order in August!
@@UtahTrikesOnline Awesome!
Cool
You need a bigger pedal because your are to big for that style.
is it big enough for a 6ft male?
Yes!
4 years later and these actually went up in price
I need to put a seat like that on mine🙂
Super helpful
Chandler’s the best! Always takes time to answer questions! Can’t thank him enough, since UT is 2339 miles from me.
We love Chandler!
I think these are ‘summer light’ tips, and think one water bottle isn’t enough, and wearing light weight, long sleeved shirt and long trousers is better than sun screen, also something like ‘DaBrim ‘ to shade your face is a must!
We totally agree! These tips are just a starting point! Everyone has been so awesome adding more tips in the comments! We're so glad we have such great viewers!
I want for my trike
The integrated lighting kit for the eCat is awesome!
I'm gunna get one my self
A misting spray bottle will be great since pedaling along will supply a breeze to get the evaporative cooling effect. I have a kayak canopy that I haven’t set up yet but it will create a spot of shade above my head if it’s unbearable. I also fill my water bottle about a third full and freeze it overnight, so I can be drinking cold water. Luckily I live in the PNW where it doesn’t normally get hot, so I only practice on trips to warmer spots
Can only ride on 3 wheels now. Cycling IS everything!
While on a group ride, I saw one cyclist wearing a baseball cap under his helmet - so I tried that. Works great as I now have a built-in visor, plus it covers my (bald) head, so I don't get sunburned on the top of my head. I always wear sunglasses, my sister is constantly reminding me to apply suntan lotion (which I am very thankful for her advice), and my doctor tells me that I should be drinking twice as much water while cycling than when I'm being a couch potato. Now I have an excuse for wearing all those bright, colorful long-sleeved shirts.
Pro Tip: Start out hydrated. Don't wait till you're thirsty to start drinking.
I'm trying to decide between the Pocket and the Expedition and this video was very helpful, thank you!
We're glad to hear it!
